Lush Dog Resort is looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Director to take ownership of the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our dog resort.
This is a great position for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in keeping a property in excellent condition, and is comfortable tackling a wide variety of projects. No two days are exactly the same.
You'll work around dogs every day, so being comfortable in a busy dog environment is a must.
What You'll Do
You'll help keep our buildings, yards, equipment, and grounds safe, functional, clean, and well-maintained.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the property
- Regularly inspect the facility and proactively identify items needing attention
- Repair and maintain doors, knobs, hinges, locks, gates, latches, fencing, and other hardware
- Troubleshoot and complete basic plumbing and electrical repairs
- Replace lightbulbs, fixtures, A/C filters, and other routine maintenance items
- Maintain hoses, nozzles, yard equipment, and outdoor fixtures
- Power wash exterior areas as needed
- Leaf blow and maintain outdoor yards and walkways
- Help maintain and clean synthetic turf areas
- Complete interior and exterior painting and touch-ups
- Assemble, install, mount, repair, and replace equipment and facility items
- Keep maintenance tools, supplies, and work areas organized
- Communicate when parts, materials, or outside vendors are needed
- Identify larger repairs that require a licensed professional or outside contractor
- Assist with hurricane preparation, storm cleanup, and occasional urgent facility needs
- Follow projects through to completion rather than waiting for reminders or follow-up

- Physically capable of performing hands-on maintenance work indoors and outdoors
- Willing to jump in when an unexpected maintenance issue comes up
Experience & Requirements
- Previous maintenance, handyman, property maintenance, or facilities experience preferred
- General knowledge of hand and power tools
- Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge
- General repair and painting experience
- Valid driver's license required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least 1 year of maintenance experience preferred
Experience maintaining a commercial property, apartment community, hotel, school, veterinary facility, dog facility, or similar property is a plus.
Schedule
This is a full-time or part-time position with at least 3-4 shifts per week.
Our facility operates:
Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
Saturday-Sunday: 9:00 AM-4:00 PM
Candidates should have some flexibility for one weekend day and/or occasional urgent or on-call maintenance needs.

Pay
$18-$20 per hour, based on experience.
