We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and support the financial health of our organization.Position SummaryThe Accounting Manager will oversee accounting operations, bookkeeping, budgeting, payroll administration, accounts payable functions, and financial reporting. This role will supervise accounting support staff and work closely with leadership to ensure accurate financial management and operational efficiency.Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations and financial processes
- Perform daily bookkeeping functions, including maintaining accurate financial records and general ledger entries
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and reconciliations
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts
- Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Develop, prepare, and monitor monthly budgets and financial forecasts
- Analyze financial data and assist leadership with budgeting and operational planning
- Oversee payroll operations and supervise the Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
- Supervise the Accounts Payable Clerk and oversee vendor payment processes
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, and operational financial activity
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
- Assist with audits, compliance reporting, and internal controls
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and financial procedures
- Collaborate with leadership to improve financial systems and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting or financial management experience
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience managing payroll and accounts payable functions
- Experience with bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance required
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel required
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Healthcare or behavioral health experience is a plus
