Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Help patients with mobility and physical exercises as directed by nursing staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas.
- Document patient care activities accurately in medical records systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide updates on patient status.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures at all times.
- Support nursing staff in various tasks within the skilled nursing facility.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems such as PCC is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare practices is essential.
- Experience working in skilled nursing facility.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize with patients and their families.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of an accredited nursing assistant program is required.
- Must be able to pass background checks as mandated by healthcare regulations.
