JOB DESCRIPTION :
Urthwear, an early stage Walnut Creek based streetwear and loungewear fashion brand
is looking for sharp apparel designers. The perfect candidate is a high-energy
professional with a strong sense for contemporary urban culture, premium comfort, and
cutting-edge streetwear aesthetics.
Position : Apparel Designer (Streetwear & Loungewear)
Location : Walnut Creek CA
Base/Salary : Commensurate With Relevant Experience
** Hiring Is Subject to Background Check
DUTIES :
- Produce Designs From Concept to Tech Pack
- Produce Patterns, Samples and Fit Changes
- Coordinate Sampling & Production With Manufacturers
- Monitor and Maintain Design Calendars and Deadlines
- Find and Acquire New Fabric, Trim, and Hardware Sources
- Meet Sourcing and Production Cycle Timelines
- Drive Sales With Great Product Innovation, Fit, and Aesthetic
- Recruit, Coach and Support Junior Design Associates
- Effectively Deliver Weekly Reporting
REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelors Degree
- 2+ Years of Apparel Design & Manufacturing
- 2+ Years of Streetwear or Loungewear Experience
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Excellent Time Management Skills
- Highly Organized and Effective
- Positive Self-Starter Attitude
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Strong Sense For Fashion
- Passion For Streetwear & Loungewear Designs
- Proficient in Mac and Adobe Creative Suite
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
BONUS :
- Experience in Retail Visual Merchandising
- Experience in Social Media Marketing
