Overview: Apogee School for Gifted Children seeks an outgoing, self-motivated administrator for the role of School Principal starting July 2026. The next principal of Apogee will see the school through to its next phase of development–growing the enrollment of the K-8+ program within the school’s new location.
Background: Apogee School for the Gifted was established in 2016 as a haven for gifted youth. Since its inception, Apogee School has provided advanced learning opportunities and socioemotional support to gifted and twice-exceptional (2e) students. What started as one classroom with two students has grown into 40 students grades K-9. Apogee is in its adolescent form, poised to grow, develop, and expand its programs.
The principal must balance the needs of stakeholder groups while paving the way to the next evolution of Apogee. Along with essential job functions, the next principal will enact and oversee the next stage of strategic planning. Strategic plans within the next 1-3 years focus on curricular revision, academic communication with families, and increasing teacher accountability while finding sustainable pathways to financially support faculty and program development.
