American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1+ year of experience for a day shift travel assignment at an acute care Level III Trauma Center in Washington, MO.

Acute care hospital setting with comprehensive medical, surgical, obstetric, and pediatric services

Respiratory Therapy department

Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 3x12-hour shifts per week

Weekend hours as needed
-
No on-call requirements

Floating required as needed

13-week contract

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory care, emergency care, and intensive care
-
Current RCP license in the state of practice (license required if applicable)
-
Active certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
-
Strong knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation
-
Experience with respiratory equipment including therapeutic gas administration apparatus and mechanical ventilators
-
Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
-
No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
-
Responsibilities include setting up and operating therapeutic gas administration apparatus and mechanical ventilators
-
Provides emergency care such as external cardiac massage, artificial respiration, and assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
-
Maintains charts containing patient identification and therapy information
-
The facility is designated as the only Level III Trauma Center between St. Louis and Jefferson City, as well as a Level II Stroke Center and Level II STEMI Center
-
Basic nursery experience is a plus

Black scrubs required
-
Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment

Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but are subject to a reduced bill rate
-
Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a separation period or facility change is required
-
Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documentation of a scheduled renewal is provided
