Overview of Program:
Department of Education (DoEd) is migrating from the SharePoint on-premise platform to SharePoint Online. This migration is part of the OCIO IT Modernization Roadmap to consolidate the Department’s hosting providers and platforms. This migration entails:
· Rebuilding the highly customized connected SharePoint site with custom master pages and customer workflows
· Migrating the Enterprise site and over 100 connectEd Sub-sites
· Migrating thousands of content items with multiple versions
SharePoint developer support is required for these sub-sites.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· The SharePoint developer will drive the design, development, maintenance, and administration of subsite environment using both programming and project management skillsets.
· Experience with SharePoint online
· Develop SharePoint custom templates, custom permissions and page design and support
· The ideal candidate is an experienced SharePoint professional with a programmer’s mindset and a high level of attention to detail.
· Must be a team player with strong communication and collaboration skills.
· Actively participate in design reviews by providing innovative and practical ideas and solutions in a partnership environment. A wide degree of creativity and latitude required
· On a day-to-day basis, working with stakeholders to determine needs and then developing in new SharePoint site
· Archive old SharePoint items
· Move old SharePoint site to new SharePoint sites
· Setting up new architecture
· Perform ad hoc tasks, as requested
Required Experience:
· 3+ years of relevant experience
· Must be detail and solution oriented. An ideal candidate will know how to ask the right questions of internal stakeholders to develop solutions for their SharePoint needs.
· Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying close attention to detail.
· Enthusiastic and willing to help others.
· Communication and strong listening skills are a must.
· Ability to work independently, multitask, reprioritize, and follow up with questions, solutions or suggestions. Must be detail and solution oriented.
· Proven collaboration and customer service skills are required. This role will collaborate with all departments to drive SharePoint development.
Desired Experience:
· Ongoing support for applications, designing, and customizing SharePoint solutions. Planning and implementing software version upgrade releases, troubleshooting, and debugging SharePoint sites.
· Experience building and configuring SharePoint based internal websites using web UI or SharePoint Designer and developing code for SharePoint.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
