Standby Screw Machine Products is currently seeking a day shift CNC Mill Operator to join our company!
The day shift Mill Operator is responsible for efficiently running production CNC machines, maintaining good quality product, and reporting issues to their supervisor.
CNC Mill Operator - DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Runs production Mill machines
- Maintains good quality product
- Reports issues to the CNC Department Lead
- Leaves machine in good working condition; new tooling, good coolant level, etc.
- Makes tool offsets and changes to tooling when needed
- Inspects products properly
- Keeps the machine area clean, including floor, machine, and workstation
- Performs all other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- 3 years’ experience using production machines
- Able to make good decisions on which materials to use, how to solve the problem and if outside help is needed
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment and handle multi-tasks
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company documents.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Vocational school training on electrical principles and troubleshooting.
- At least 3 years’ experience in light industry or the machine tool industry.
