One patient. One hour. One doctor.
That's the whole model. No double-booking. No tech running your exercise plan in the next room while you chart. No 15-minute eval that pretends to be an eval.
HealthFit is a family-owned, doctor-led clinic in Pasadena. Physical therapy, chiropractic, regenerative therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and longevity testing — all under one roof, all working together. Our regenerative program runs on shockwave and EMTT: technology most PTs have never had their hands on.
We're hiring a Physical Therapist who wants to actually practice the way we were all taught to before productivity quotas got in the way.
What the job actually looks like
- Full 60-minute evaluations. 30–60 minute treatment sessions. One-on-one, doctor to patient, start to finish.
- Real hands-on work. Manual therapy isn't the five minutes before the exercise sheet here — it's a load-bearing part of the plan.
- Real movement work too. You program it, you coach it, you progress it. You'll have a full gym floor, not three resistance bands and a hope.
- You run the regenerative side of your own cases — shockwave and EMTT — integrated into the plan of care from Day 1.
- Documentation that takes minutes, not evenings. You'll leave when your last patient leaves.
- Clinical decisions made by you and your patient. Not by a utilization reviewer.
The part most PT jobs can't offer you
Here's our actual clinical doctrine, and it's why this role is different:
Hands + Exercise + Regen — working in parallel, from Day 1.
Most clinics treat regenerative therapy as a last resort — something a patient earns after they've plateaued. We don't. Tissue healing, inflammation regulation, and cellular activation are load-bearing parts of recovery, not afterthoughts. So we run all three pillars together from the first visit, because each one does something the other two can't.
Our framework is Source-Cause-Stack:
- Source — where the symptom lives
- Cause — the upstream driver: the movement pattern, the training imbalance, the tissue quality, the systemic inflammation
- Stack — the integrated treatment: hands, exercise, and regen, deployed together
You will learn to run this. If you've never touched EMTT or shockwave, don't worry about it — almost nobody has. We'll train you. What we need is someone who finds it interesting rather than threatening.
How we hold the standard
Accountability here runs two directions, and both are non-negotiable.
Inward — you hold yourself to it. You own your caseload, your outcomes, and your own development. And you won't be guessing about any of it: you'll have access to live data and dashboards showing your schedule, your conversions, your patient follow-through, and your regenerative offers. Your numbers are your numbers, visible to you, all month long. What we expect is that you look at them, and that you catch your own gaps before anyone else does.
Sideways — the team holds it with you. Regular scorecards and structured check-ins with our leadership team, built to develop you rather than catch you. We review real encounters. We coach the clinical reasoning and the conversation — how you explain a problem, how you deliver a plan of care, how you handle the moment a patient hesitates. We watch each other's hands and we tell each other the truth when a plan isn't working. That's not criticism, that's the job. The HealthFit standard is something the whole team holds, not something the owner enforces.
If being coached in front of peers makes you defensive, this will be a hard place to work. If it's the thing that's been missing from every job you've had, you'll love it here.
Who thrives here
- You hold yourself accountable. You don't need to be chased, reminded, or managed into doing the work well. And you can take a teammate's feedback without flinching — then give it back just as honestly.
- You're good with your hands — and you want to get better. You believe assessment happens through the hands, not just the intake form.
- You're good with movement and exercise — you can look at a squat, a gait, an overhead reach and see the story.
- You're willing to learn regenerative medicine and hold a whole-person view of healing: tissue, load, sleep, metabolism, stress, belief. Not just reps and sets.
- You listen. Our whole clinical culture is built on it. (I wrote a book about it — The Martial Arts of Listening. Listen with your ears, your eyes, your hands, your brain, your heart. That's the standard.)
- You want mentorship and you want to be coached. We do case reviews and hands-on training. If you'd rather be left alone forever, this isn't the shop.
- You like people. You'll see the same patient for their whole arc. Pro athletes rehabbing a hamstring. Grandparents who want to lift their grandkids again. Executives who finally decided to stop guessing about their health.
Both experienced and early-career DPTs are encouraged to apply. If you're two years out of school and want to learn manual and regen properly, we will teach you. If you're ten years in and tired of being a units machine, you'll recognize this place immediately.
This isn't for you if…
We'd rather save us both the interview:
- You want to run 3–4 patients an hour and hand off the work.
- You think regenerative technology is gimmick until proven otherwise, and you'd rather not be part of learning it.
- You want to be handed protocols and never asked to think.
- You want to leave your brain at the door and collect a paycheck.
- Feedback from a teammate lands as an attack rather than a gift — or you hear the coaching, agree in the moment, and nothing changes.
- You need a manager standing behind you to do your best work.
- You'd rather not have your numbers visible.
- Continuing education sounds like a chore rather than the point.
Why people stay
- You'll master a skill set — integrated manual + movement + regenerative care — that almost no PT in Southern California has.
- We invest in your continuing education. Your development is a line item, not a favor.
- You'll be part of a genuinely integrative team: PTs, chiropractors, and the wellness side all talking to each other about the same patient.
- Our unique service promise, and we mean it operationally: We help you stay mobile and active to avoid painkillers and surgery so you can get back to doing what you love.
