Event & Brand Ambassador (Independent Contractor)

Location: Based in Hauppauge, NY. Travel to events throughout Long Island, New York City, and the Tri-State area is required as needed.

Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic, personable, and professional Event & Brand Ambassador to represent our organization at conferences, benefit fairs, trade shows, client events, and community outreach opportunities.
This is an as-needed, event-based position ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with people, building relationships, and promoting meaningful services. The Event & Brand Ambassador serves as a positive representative of our brand by educating attendees, answering questions, distributing materials, and helping drive awareness and engagement with our services.
Key Responsibilities
Event Representation
- Represent National EAP at conferences, trade shows, benefit fairs, networking events, and client-sponsored programs.
- Serve as the primary onsite contact when attending events on behalf of the organization.
- Professionally represent the company's mission, values, and services.
Booth & Event Setup
- Transport, set up, and break down event displays, banners, promotional materials, and giveaways.
- Ensure the booth or table is organized, inviting, and fully stocked throughout the event.
- Maintain a professional and polished event presence.
Attendee Engagement
- Proactively engage attendees and initiate conversations.
- Educate participants about our services and answer general questions.
- Distribute informational materials and promotional items.
- Encourage participation in event activities, raffles, surveys, or engagement campaigns when appropriate.
- Gather employee questions, feedback, and requests for follow-up assistance and communicate them to the appropriate team members.
Brand Awareness
- Help increase awareness of National EAP and Athrú services and drive engagement of the program.
- Build positive relationships with event organizers, attendees, clients, and partners.
- Provide attendee feedback and insights to support future outreach and engagement efforts.
Qualifications

- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and represent the organization with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and transporting light event materials.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to event locations.
- Experience in customer service, public relations, event marketing, community outreach, hospitality, healthcare, wellness, HR, or sales is preferred but not required.

Work Schedule & Compensation
- Independent Contract, event-based position.
- Hours vary based on event schedules, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Compensation: $40/hour plus approved mileage reimbursement
- This is an as-needed, event based contractor position. Event volume may range from 0-6 events per month, depending on client needs and seasonal demand. The busiest periods are typically in the spring and fall, with fewer events during other times of the year.
Contractors can accept or decline event assignments based on their availability.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
