Hearsay is seeking an energetic and attentive Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional guest experiences through friendly service, expert knowledge, and efficient operations. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes, beverages, and specials to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS systems and ensuring timely and correct transactions
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and desserts to maximize sales opportunities
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of Toast systems or similar platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and upselling techniques to enhance sales
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Experience with food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and attentive service
