Production Team Lead – Inspection, Rework & Reboxing Operations
Position Summary
The Production Team Lead is responsible for leading a team in the execution of inspection, reboxing, relabeling, and rework projects while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and adherence to customer requirements and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise production teams performing inspection, reboxing, relabeling, and rework operations.
- Set up, operate, and manage production lines to achieve hourly and daily productivity targets.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with approved SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Monitor line performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency and throughput.
- Scan, track, and maintain accurate inventory and material movement records.
- Assign tasks, monitor employee performance, and ensure team members remain productive and on task.
- Communicate production status, quality concerns, and project updates to management.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
Qualifications
- Experience leading or supervising production, inspection, rework, or manufacturing teams.
- Experience operating and managing production lines.
- Experience scanning, tracking, and maintaining material traceability.
- Ability to accurately follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and customer work instructions.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with inventory or production tracking systems is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Flexible, dependable, and able to adapt to changing priorities and customer requirements.
Work Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel between El Paso (EP) and Santa Teresa (ST) facilities as business needs require. Mileage and travel time will be compensated in accordance with company policy.
- Must be available to work mandatory overtime when required, including:
- Monday through Friday: up to 7:00 PM
- Saturdays: 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Overtime is typically required 1–2 times per month, depending on project demands.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, diverse, and team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with inspection, rework, reboxing, or quality containment projects.
- Experience working in electronics manufacturing, warehousing, or third-party logistics (3PL) operations.
- Familiarity with barcode scanning systems, inventory control, and production reporting.
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
