Job Summary
Memorial Pet Sitting is looking for a reliable, responsible, and animal-loving Full-Time Pet Sitter to join our team in the Memorial/Energy Corridor area of Houston.
This position is ideal for someone who has flexible availability throughout the day and is looking for consistent pet-sitting work. Our sitters travel to clients’ homes to provide dependable, loving care for dogs, cats, and other household pets while their owners are at work or away.
Our schedule varies from day to day, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable with a flexible schedule and can be available for morning, daytime, afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday visits as needed.
Responsibilities
- Travel to clients’ homes for scheduled pet-sitting visits
- Feed pets and provide fresh water
- Walk dogs and provide potty breaks
- Clean litter boxes and pet-related messes
- Administer medications when instructed and comfortable doing so
- Provide playtime, attention, and companionship
- Follow each client’s specific pet and home-care instructions
- Send detailed visit updates and photos through our pet-sitting app
- Bring in packages/mail, water plants, and handle other basic home-care tasks when requested
- Keep client homes secure when entering and leaving
- Complete visits within assigned scheduling time frames
- Properly space multiple daily visits according to scheduling instructions
- Communicate promptly with management regarding pet health concerns, emergencies, scheduling issues, or unusual situations
- Provide overnight pet sitting when available
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must live in 77079 or a very close surrounding area
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Must have a reliable working smartphone
- Must be comfortable driving between multiple clients throughout the day
- Must have flexible and dependable availability
- Must be available for a combination of weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Must be comfortable working independently
- Must be comfortable with dogs and cats of different sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities
- Must be able to walk dogs outdoors in Houston weather
- Must be dependable and able to arrive within assigned visit time frames
- Must have strong communication and attention to detail
- Must be willing to complete a background check
- Previous professional pet-care experience is preferred but not required

Our ideal sitter is someone who genuinely loves animals but also understands that professional pet sitting requires reliability, flexibility, communication, and responsibility. Our clients depend on us when they are away from home, so showing up consistently and following instructions carefully is extremely important.
We are especially looking for someone who wants to take on a consistent, full-time schedule and has the flexibility to help wherever needed throughout the week.

Pay: $23.90 - $36.79 per hour
