Assistant Property Manager
Seeking an enthusiastic, fun, and motivated professional to join our property management team.
The ideal candidate will be driven, dependable, detail-oriented, willing to learn, a team player, with excellent people skills, and have a passion to succeed. Experience in leasing apartments, customer relations, sales, and/or office work required.
The Assistant Property Manager will show apartments to potential renters, lease apartments to qualified applicants, renew leases with current tenants, and perform managerial duties concerning the property as directed by the property manager.
Assistant Property Manager Job responsibilities include:
- Follow up on prospective resident leads and inquiries
- Conduct property tours
- Process applications, including background and credit checks
- Assist with Rural Development (RD) and affordable housing certifications
- Prepare leases, renewals, and move-in documentation in compliance with program requirements
- Assist with rent collection and deposits
- Maintain accurate resident files and compliance documentation
- Respond to resident questions, concerns, and service requests promptly
- Coordinate property maintenance, repairs, and inspections
- Comply with Federal and Local Fair Housing regulations and ordinances.
- Answer emergency calls - shared responsibility with all property management and maintenance staff
- Complete all other projects or requests as directed by Supervisor.
Assistant Property Manager Requirements:
- Customer Service: 1 year (Required)
- Property Leasing or Sales Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literacy is required for the position.
- Should be able conduct tours.
- Must be able to pass the Kari Koskinen Background Check

Assistant Property Manager Compensation:
- Hourly Wage ($19-$23 depending on experience)
