ICON STEEL is seeking an experienced Welder / Fitter to join our fabrication shop in Marana, Arizona. This position will be responsible for fitting and welding structural steel and miscellaneous metal projects including stairs, handrails, guardrails, gates, canopies, and structural assemblies.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret shop drawings
- Lay out, fit, and weld structural steel and miscellaneous metal assemblies
- Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Verify dimensions and maintain quality standards
- Work with shop foremen and project managers to meet production schedules
- Assist with material handling and shop organization
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment
Qualifications:
- Welding and fitting experience required
- Ability to read fabrication drawings
- Experience with FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW preferred
- Structural steel and miscellaneous metals experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation:
$18 - $28 per hour, depending on experience.
Higher compensation may be available for candidates with significant structural steel fabrication and fitting experience.
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
