Position Responsibilities
- Meet with and guide families through funeral and memorial service arrangements with professionalism, empathy, and compassion.
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of funeral services from first call through final disposition.
- Perform embalming, restorative art, dressing, casketing, and preparation of the deceased in accordance with professional standards and state regulations.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with cemeteries, churches, clergy, crematories, hospitals, and other service providers.
- Participate in removals, transfers, and on-call responsibilities as scheduled.
- Maintain the highest standards of client family satisfaction and professional appearance.
- Work collaboratively with fellow staff members to provide seamless and personalized service.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mortuary Science preferred.
- Current Indiana Funeral Director and Embalmer License, or eligibility to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Compassionate, professional demeanor with the ability to build trust and confidence with client families.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and funeral management software.
- Ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move 50 pounds or more.
- Availability to participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $40,500.00 - $57,251.35 per year
