Michelle Radley Chevrolet is looking for a detail-oriented Automotive Title Clerk to join our back-office team in Leesburg. You’ll be the "glue" that holds our sales transactions together, ensuring every vehicle we sell has the proper legal documentation to hit the road. What You’ll Do
- Title Processing: Prepare and submit legal transfer documents to the Virginia DMV for new, used, and out-of-state vehicle sales.
- Compliance: Verify that all titles, taxes, and registration fees are 100% accurate and compliant with state laws.
- Wholesale & Trades: Handle title work for wholesale transactions and ensure trade-in titles are secured and processed quickly.
- Lien Management: Coordinate with lenders to ensure vehicle payoffs are handled and liens are released appropriately.
- Communication: Act as the main liaison between our dealership, the DMV, and our customers regarding any titling delays or issues.
What You Bring to the Table
- Experience: At least 2–3 years of experience in automotive titling (experience with Virginia DMV procedures or CVR is a major plus).
- The "Eagle Eye": You spot a missing signature, an incorrect odometer reading, or a typo from a mile away.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with dealership management systems (like CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or Dealertrack).
- Persistence: You aren't afraid to pick up the phone and track down a missing title from an auction or a bank.
- Professionalism: You handle sensitive customer and financial information with total discretion.
