Responsibilities
- Assist in food running by delivering dishes promptly from the kitchen to guests’ tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, bussing dishes and debris to maintain a clean dining area.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food handling and preparation tasks as needed, following all food safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and sanitizing tables and chairs regularly.
- Handle manual lifting of trays, boxes, or supplies with safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Provide friendly in-person customer service by greeting guests, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Support the overall flow of service during busy periods by coordinating with servers and kitchen staff using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS when necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality environments.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred.
- Familiarity with banquet or hotel service environments is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in cleaning, bussing, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude.
