Duties
- Prepare and set up breakfast buffet stations, ensuring all food items are fresh, appealing, and properly presented.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including slicing, plating, and replenishing items as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food preparation areas, adhering strictly to food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including toasters, coffee machines, and warming trays.
- Handle manual tasks such as weight handling in the workplace when setting up or clearing tables and buffet stations.
- Process cash transactions accurately at the breakfast service point using POS systems when applicable.
- Provide friendly, attentive service to guests in person, addressing their needs promptly and professionally.
- Follow food safety management protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations at all times.
- Assist with cleaning duties including clearing tables, sweeping floors, and sanitizing surfaces regularly.
- Support catering or banquet events if required, helping with setup and service to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially within fine dining or catering settings.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety sanitizing protocols.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on in-person interactions that make guests feel valued.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems for cash handling purposes.
- Experience with food preparation techniques and culinary practices relevant to breakfast service.
- Knowledge of wine pairing or beverage service is a plus for enhancing guest experience.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while maintaining proper weight handling techniques.
- Experience working in hospitality environments such as hotels or banquet halls is highly desirable.
