Job Description:
The Company:
Resource Transport (RT) is the preferred transportation and logistics provider of Total Sand Services (TSS), allowing RT to maintain steady work for its drivers.
Our yard is located at 17500 West I-20 Odessa, Texas 79763.
Driver Qualifications:
1+ years of tractor/trailer driving experience in the last 3 years and at least 23 years old.
We are unable to hire any driver that is currently or has been in SAP.
Orientation:
Drivers are responsible for transportation to Odessa for Orientation.
Orientation is 2-3 days paid at $20/hr.
The Work:
RT drivers haul frac sand via routes in Texas and New Mexico to wellsite locations.
Drivers are responsible for pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned units when entering or exiting truck.
Drivers are responsible for opening and closing tarps at loading facilities.
Drivers remain in the vehicle during unloading - our field operators do the work for you.
Drivers are subject to pre-employment background and drug testing as well as ongoing random vehicle checks and substance testing. Positive test results, refusals, or any contraband found in your possession or in our company vehicles will result in immediate termination.
The Schedule:
Two schedules are available: 3 weeks on with 1 week off or 6 weeks on with 2 weeks off.
Drivers are required to provide their own reliable transportation to and from the Odessa yard.
RT operates on Interstate Oilfield Hours-of-Service rules.
11 hours of drive time per every 14 hours on duty, requires 10 hours reset.
Drivers stay in the company truck during the 70-hour clock.
70 hours on-duty per week, requires a 24-hour consecutive reset period.
Drivers are provided a free crew camp room (includes food and laundry), for the 24-hour reset period.
When possible, local drivers are allowed to go home at night, however, they will need to be ready to drive after the 10-hour rest break and must be prepared to stay in the truck if necessary.
Samsara's electronic log device (ELD) is used and calculates everything for the driver.
Front and rear-facing cameras are present in all company vehicles.
The Equipment:
All equipment is less than 5 years old and is owned and maintained by RT.
RT makes sure drivers have the necessary safe and operational equipment and PPE when on shift.
Each truck is equipped with an inverter, refrigerator and CB radio.
The Compensation:
Drivers are employees of RT, it is a W-2 position.
Drivers are paid 30% of each load delivered and will receive a paycheck bi-weekly (every other Friday).
The more loads you haul the more you can earn.
Drivers also receive $40 per month phone allowance.
