Summary
Material Handlers: operate and maintain machinery and equipment necessary in the loading and unloading of ethanol, denaturant, MWDG, WDGS, DDGS, and corn.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties for the Material Handlers:
- Loading and unloading of all ethanol, distiller's grains and timely other products by railcar and truck.
- Proper completion of all records related to the products loaded for shipment from the plant site.
- Housekeeping as related, but not limited to the cleanliness and orderly organization of all areas that pertain to your duties.
- Keep current on the status of all operating equipment.'
- Maintain rolling stock to include loaders, railcar mover, and fork-lift by checking fluid levels, greasing, lubricating and re-fueling.
- Inspect loaders, railcar mover, etc. for defects, cracks, breaks, tires, etc. according to the designated schedule issued by maintenance and document the inspection results.
- Keep the plant in a "Tour Ready" condition at all times.
- Frequent communications with the scale operator and operations.
- Other duties as may be assigned to accomplish the safe and timely day to-day operations within the plant.
Qualifications
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others and ability to work independently.
- Computer literate.
- Exemplify the high standards necessary to accomplish the goals of this Company.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma required.
- Previous experience with Material Handling using the Equipment mentioned up above is desired.
- Demonstrated competencies
- 2+ years in an industrial setting environment
Physical Demands
- The employee may regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- The employee must not be afraid of Heights.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
- The employee may be exposed to cold, wet, windy or humid conditions.
- The employee is regularly exposed to high noise environments.
- The Employee may be exposed to chemicals used in the process.
- The Employee will Drive Wheel Loaders, and other rolling stock.
- Shift is from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm Monday - Thursday
