Summary of Job:
The Sales Support Specialist plays a key role in driving sales growth by proactively engaging with current and prospective customers on behalf of the MARCO sales team. This position is a point of contact for customers seeking product samples and promotional solutions, and requires a confident, outgoing personality with a passion for building relationships. The Sales Support Specialist will ensure every interaction reflects MARCO's commitment to exceptional service. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to multitask. Works directly with representatives to ensure orders/quotes move smoothly and efficiently. needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned or changed to meet business needs)
· Handles/assists with a high volume of customer / Rep requests with the emphasis on successful and continued sales growth.
· When necessary, confers with production, shipping, warehouse, or carrier personnel to expedite or trace shipments.
· Resolves customer concerns promptly and professionally via written correspondence on the web site.
· Works independently with emphasis on attention to detail and proper grammar as it relates to corresponding with the customer thus creating a professional image.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides support and assistance to fellow team members, as needed, in order to meet company/team goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as training or procedure manuals and employee handbooks
· Must possess proven writing skills to incorporate grammar, tone and content that exemplifies professional/exceptional customer service.
· Ability to efficiently organize and manage multiple priorities
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Good grammar, voice and diction
· Must possess computer proficiency and keyboarding skills including familiarity with the computer programs of Word and Excel

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
It is preferred that Sales Support Specialists have:
· Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
· College degree
· 2-3 years of related service and needs based sales experience and/or training
· Or equivalent combination of education and experience listed above
· Knowledge of color imprinting and electronic graphic art programs
· Past experience should include effectively and professionally servicing customers in an inbound or outbound call center environment
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Sales Support Specialists should possess the ability to communicate effectively and exhibit professional qualities. In addition, Sales Support specialists should have the ability to:
· Effectively establish rapport with customer base, present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the general public.
· Sell and explain benefits and features via the web, of company products and service
· Read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Sales Support Specialists should possess the ability to calculate figures and apply concepts of basic accounting such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Sales Support Specialists should possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables including delivery date commitments, and other instructions furnished in written, verbal or schedule/spreadsheet form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Sales Support Specialists should possess the ability to type 30-35 WMP and be familiar with basic concepts of all units of measure including inches, centimeters, square inches, etc.
TRAINING:
Sales Support Specialists receive comprehensive training in customer service, sales, and product knowledge, as well as the functions of the web site.
