We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning for our independent senior living community. Ability to communicate successfully and respectfully with senior citizens is required. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to being considered for this position. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. Starting pay will be based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor and major fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls, paint, etc.
- Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
- Install appliances and equipment
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and fixtures
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems
- Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
- Prep apartments for move in needs and maintain occupied apartments
- Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations when required
- Report to a facility or maintenance manager for issues
- Pool cleaning and upkeep
- Raise after 90 days
