With dedicated professionals and assemblers regularly operating two full shifts, ISC operates with the most current high-speed tooling, material handling, and test equipment.
Job Overview
The Production Supervisor leads and coordinates daily manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time production while maintaining seamless communication and accurate handoffs between shifts. This hands-on leader supports production leads and assembly teams by driving safety, quality, productivity, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement on the shop floor. The role partners closely with Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Warehouse teams to execute schedules, resolve issues, optimize resources, and ensure customer requirements and business goals are achieved.
What You'll Do:

Lead and supervise production operations, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards and customer requirements.

Serve as the communication bridge between first and second shift by understanding daily priorities, production status, and work order requirements to ensure a seamless handoff.

Prioritize and direct production flow through assembly operations to meet production schedules and on-time delivery objectives.

Ensure all production lines are appropriately staffed and resources are aligned with changing production priorities.

Provide daily leadership, coaching, and support to Production Leads and production employees, fostering accountability, engagement, and professional development.

Maintain a visible leadership presence on the production floor, building trust, engagement, and accountability within the team.

Manage employee performance, including coaching, corrective actions, attendance management, performance evaluations, and recognition activities.

Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention initiatives.

Support the development and growth of team members by identifying training opportunities and mentoring future leaders.

Partner with Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Warehouse teams to resolve production issues and remove obstacles impacting schedule attainment.

Monitor and ensure compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards, customer requirements, and company procedures.

Verify traveler documentation for accuracy, including part numbers, revisions, quantities, and other production requirements.

Own and drive key performance metrics, including On-Time Delivery (OTD), schedule attainment, productivity, quality, labor utilization, and employee engagement.

Lead continuous improvement activities utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S methodologies, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to improve efficiency and eliminate waste.

Address production issues, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and other operational challenges in a timely manner.

Foster an engaging work environment where employees understand how their contributions support customer satisfaction and company success.

Promote and enforce a culture of safety by conducting safety observations, addressing hazards, and ensuring compliance with company safety policies and procedures.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Be punctual and maintain consistent attendance in accordance with company expectations.

Must-Have Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience in a production environment.

Minimum of 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience, including coaching and developing employees.

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and influence teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to develop both technical and interpersonal capabilities within a team.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Excel.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Ability to work independently while effectively communicating and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Understanding of basic arithmetic and measurement concepts.

Ability to work effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Bonus Points If You Have:

Associate's degree or higher in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

Experience in cable, wire harness, electronic assembly, aerospace, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.

Experience supervising teams of 10 or more employees.

Experience in a contract manufacturing environment.

Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand, troubleshoot, and support manufacturing equipment and processes.

Ability to read and interpret manufacturing instructions, assembly drawings, and electrical schematics.

Ability to use hand tools, inspection equipment, and measuring devices.
-
Working knowledge of ERP systems.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies.

Familiarity with PPAP, PDP, FMEA, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
-
Familiarity with wire processing equipment, including cutting, stripping, labeling, coiling, and crimping equipment.

Working knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.

Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese).
PHYSICAL DEMAND AND SAFETY

Be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds unassisted. Beyond this will require the buddy system or a lifting device.

Ability to stay on foot for prolonged periods of time and mobility to get around the facility without limitations.

Achieve daily tasks that require repetitive use of hands and other body parts.

Learn and follow all safety requirements. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action.

Compensation Range:
$75,000 - $85,000/yr + bonus
