General Farm Laborer – Equipment Operator (Grain Cart & Machinery)

About Us:
We are a family-owned farm seeking a dependable and hard-working General Farm Laborer to join our team. Our operation includes row crop farming with modern equipment and technology. This is a hands-on role focused on field work and machinery operation—particularly during planting and harvest seasons.
Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to operate grain carts and other heavy machinery to support planting, harvesting, and general farm operations. Hours will increase significantly during peak seasons, with long shifts and weekend work expected. We are willing to train the right candidate on equipment, but reliability and a strong work ethic are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate grain carts and various farm equipment (tractors, tillage tools, augers, etc.)
- Assist with planting and harvesting operations.
- Perform basic maintenance and inspections on machinery.
- Follow safety procedures and work efficiently as part of a team.
- Assist with other general farm tasks as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous farm or ag equipment experience is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different equipment and tasks.
- Basic mechanical skills a plus.
- Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons (10+ hour days, 6 days/week).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL a bonus but not required.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Peak Season (Planting/Harvest): Long hours, overtime available, up to 6 days/week.
- Off-Season: Reduced hours, flexible schedule.
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
- Training provided on new-age farm equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
