Event Bartender

The Waters is looking for friendly, reliable, and experienced bartenders to join our event team. Our bartenders primarily work weddings, private events, and other special events held at The Waters. This is a great position for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming atmosphere, working with a team, and being part of memorable celebrations.
Position Overview
The Event Bartender is responsible for providing professional, friendly, and efficient bar service during events at The Waters. Bartenders will prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages while maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar throughout the event.
Most shifts will take place on Friday and Saturday evenings, with occasional weekday shifts for weddings, private events, and other special events. Event schedules vary, so flexibility is important.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to guests throughout events
- Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages according to event specifications
- Efficiently operate our Toast POS system to process guest transactions and payments accurately
- Check identification and follow all responsible alcohol service requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar throughout the event
- Assist with bar setup before events and cleanup/closing at the conclusion of events
- Assist with event setup and tear-down as needed, including moving and arranging tables, chairs, and other event equipment
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining a positive and professional attitude
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately when applicable
- Assist with general event responsibilities as needed
- Represent The Waters in a professional and welcoming manner
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Wisconsin bartender/operator's license required or willingness to obtain one
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to efficiently learn and operate Toast POS
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Professional, friendly, and outgoing personality
- Ability to remain calm and organized during busy events
- Must be comfortable standing and being active for the duration of a shift
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move tables, chairs, cases of beverages, and other event equipment
- Ability to assist with physical setup and tear-down of events
Job Type: Part Time
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
