What You’ll Do:
As a PTA at FYZICAL, you’ll work closely with our Physical Therapists to deliver exceptional care and help patients reach their goals. Your role will include:
- Providing physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and mobility training
- Administering modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, traction, and hot/cold therapy
- Educating patients on treatment plans and home exercise programs
- Monitoring patient progress and communicating updates to the therapy team
- Accurately documenting daily treatments, progress notes, and reports
- Assisting with fitting and instruction for assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, braces)
- Supporting clinic flow through teamwork, patient engagement, and occasional clerical tasks
You’ll play a key role in maintaining a positive, safe, and efficient treatment environment — and in helping patients feel supported every step of the way.
What We’re Looking For:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Valid Maine PTA license
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently within scope and collaboratively with a team
- Comfort with documentation and basic computer systems
- CPR certification preferred
