Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Grounds Management Crew Leader to oversee and coordinate the maintenance and beautification of outdoor landscapes. In this role, you will lead a team of groundskeeping staff, ensuring that all areas are maintained to the highest standards of safety, aesthetics, and functionality. Your leadership will drive efficient landscaping operations, including lawn care, tree care, irrigation, gardening, and general site maintenance. Duties
- Supervise and motivate grounds crew members to perform landscape maintenance tasks efficiently and safely
- Plan and coordinate daily work schedules for landscaping, lawn care, tree trimming, irrigation system installation and repairs, and general horticultural activities
- Conduct inspections of outdoor areas to ensure quality standards are met and identify areas needing attention or improvement
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of landscaping equipment and tools
- Assist with construction projects related to landscape enhancements or site improvements
- Provide guidance on horticulture best practices, including plant health, pruning techniques, and soil management
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards during all groundskeeping activities
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture with a focus on quality results
- Supervising experience leading teams in outdoor or construction settings
- Strong knowledge of lawn care techniques, tree care practices, irrigation systems, and general landscaping methods
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Leadership skills with the capacity to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating tasks and providing clear instructions
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance and safety procedures related to groundskeeping tools
