Job Description
Tolman's Meats, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan is seeking to fill a Production Machine Operator 2 role at our USDA-inspected production facility. As a machine operator, you will be part of a collaborative team with the opportunity to learn all the functional areas including operation of meat grinders, patty forming machines, and sausage linking equipment.
Hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 5:30am to 3:00pm.

Work Environment
The job operates in a refrigerated food production (45°F) and warehouse setting (35°F). The floor surface is concrete. The noise level is moderate with no vibration. Material movement takes place throughout the facility.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiently able to read, speak, and write in English to understand instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety standards
- Prior experience with machine operation and troubleshooting, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
- Basic math, reasoning, and critical thinking skills

Physical Requirements
- Frequent bending and continuous twisting
- Lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying, pushing or pulling moderately heavy objects as assigned by position
- Continuous standing and walking for up to 8 hours
- Continuous use of upper body (arms, wrists, hands) for up to 8 hours
- Frequent climbing of steps/ladders
