Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair.
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and friendly service.
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by following proper food handling and preparation procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks to meet quality standards.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently while maintaining high service quality.
- Clean shop correctly and timely.
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is not needed.
- Experience with POS systems like Square is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly between tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.
