Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide high-quality care and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role requires a strong commitment to resident rights and the ability to manage various behavioral and emotional needs.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
- Support clients in mobility and transportation, including driving when required.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and organized.
- Monitor client behavior and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Implement behavior management strategies as needed, particularly for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting privacy and dignity at all times.
- Assist with medication reminders and basic health monitoring.
Experience
- Previous experience in social work or home care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with long-term care settings is beneficial.
- Certification in first aid is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A valid driver’s license is required for transportation duties.

Pay: $18.75 - $20.00 per hour
