We need 2 Layout Programmers for our Pre-Fabrication department. These can be entry level. Ideal; candidates will have a desire to work in skilled trades, but open to training and learning a niche skill, have CAD experience, and have advanced computer skills! They are programming our machines to cut/burn/drill. The cutting, burning, and drilling occurs in pre-fabrication before hands are laid on the steel. Ability to read technical drawings will be a huge plus!
Pay rates are like machine operators:

· Relocation Bonus
o Candidates within the state of FL, but outside 100 miles are eligible for a total of $1,500 relocation bonus paid by Precision Build Solutions. This will be paid out as follows:
§ $500 upon conversion from Aerotek to Precision Build Solutions employee (90 days).
§ $1,000 additional paid upon the additional 90 days as a full time Precision Build Solutions employee (180 days).
o Candidates outside the state of FL are eligible for a total of $2,500 relocation bonus paid by Precision Build Solutions. This will be paid out as follows:
§ $1,000 upon conversion from Aerotek to Precision Build Solutions employee (90 days).
§ $1,500 additional paid upon the additional 90 days as a full time Precision Build Solutions employee (180 days).

UPDATE 5.30.24 for relocating fitter candidate ONLY... they should be expecting to be there for 8 hours on testing day. They will use the second half of the day to do critical fractures certification. The trainer in charge will know who is out of state applicants and have them stay so they have passed everything before giving an offer and having people move.
For non-local welders, the candidate will complete the A class weld test as usual at 8am. If this is passed, we will then put them through a fracture critical certification. Since the first test takes about 4 hours and the fracture critical certification takes about 4 hours, the candidate needs to plan on spending a whole day with us. Packing a lunch and waters are highly recommended. Since the fracture critical certification needs verified through RT and a bend test, we won’t have those results for 24 hours. If both tests are passed and completed in the 8 hours, we would then make an offer to the candidate prior to them relocating, and they would be ahead of the game on day one!
For all welder candidates, it is important to know when recruiting…they must be able to back gouge without a grinder. This is known as “back gouge using air carbon arc” in the fabricating world. If you have candidates that speak this language…bring them on to test!!!! Our upcoming projects are requiring this, and 3rd party inspectors are walking around the shop to ensure our welds are to code.
