Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and maintain CNC machines—including lathes and milling machines—to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure the highest quality standards are met while adhering to safety and efficiency protocols. Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machining equipment such as CNC lathes and milling machines with precision and efficiency.
- Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, and CAM software to produce complex parts according to detailed blueprints.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately, ensuring all specifications are met during production.
- Set up machinery by installing tooling, calibrating measurement instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
- Perform machine setup procedures including tool selection, fixture installation, and calibration for optimal performance.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances align with engineering specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining issues promptly, adjusting programs or setups as needed to maintain productivity and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling manual tools, grinders, power tools, and other machining equipment.
- Collaborate with team members on lean manufacturing initiatives to improve processes and reduce waste.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code; experience with Autodesk Fusion and Mazatrol desirable
- Strong skills in blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and mechanical blueprint interpretation.
- Hands-on experience with manual machining tools including grinders, hand tools, bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and measurement devices for quality control.
- Ability to perform machine setup efficiently while maintaining high standards of precision measurement in machining tasks.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and machine adjustments.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste in production processes.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
