Position Overview
As a Designer at Carpet Diem, you will guide homebuyers through the exciting process of selecting finishes and design details for their new home. You will work closely with builders, buyers, and internal teams to create a seamless and inspiring design experience from start to finish.
This role requires strong design knowledge, excellent communication skills, organization, and the ability to adapt to different builder programs and processes.
Responsibilities
- Guide buyers through interior and exterior design selections for their home
- Assist with selections including flooring, countertops, cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, lighting, paint, tile, hardware, and more
- Build strong relationships with buyers, builders, and team members
- Adapt to the unique processes, product offerings, and expectations of different builder partners
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete paperwork in a timely manner
- Stay current on design trends, products, and industry innovations
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused work environment
- Deliver a high-level customer experience throughout the design process
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in residential design selections with a home builder or design firm
- Strong knowledge of residential interior and exterior building products
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer skills; experience with Photoshop is a plus
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
