Position Summary:

Vulcan Garage, is a fleet focused shop with a majority of customers who operate Sprinter (Ford, RAM, Mercedes) vans and electric vehicles including Rivian, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Glass Technician to join our team. This role is critical to delivering high-quality, efficient vehicle glass repairs and replacement. You will be responsible primarily for glass installation but should be open to learning new light repairs within the context of the customers we serve.

Key Responsibilities:
- Replace automotive glass
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and safety checks
- ADAS calibration experience.
- Accurately document all work completed, parts used, and recommendations in the work order management system
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and shop safety standards
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and other team members regarding status, estimates, and timelines
- Mentor junior technicians when applicable; contribute to team knowledge sharing
- Adhere to company productivity and quality standards to minimize comebacks and ensure customer trust
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in an automotive repair facility or fleet service environment
- ASE Certification(s) preferred (A1–A8); willingness to complete further certifications if not yet obtained
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or OEM training preferred
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working on commercial fleet vehicles (e.g., Ford Transit, Mercedes Sprinter, Rivian, etc.)
- Familiarity with fleet management platforms (e.g., Fleetio, AutoLeap, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability, initiative, and a commitment to high standards of workmanship
What We Offer:
- $24 to $28.00 per hour dependent on experience
- Productivity and quality-based bonus structure, based on completed tasks and sales (averages between $500 and $1500 per month)
