Position Objective: The 3rd Shift Assistant Manager supervises the daily 3rd shift warehouse operations.
Primary Activities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of all warehouse personnel and assist in all areas as needed to achieve daily operation requirements.
Observe work procedures and work flow to ensure quality of work. Make recommendations for improvement where appropriate.
Provide training and mentoring to all current and new warehouse personnel.
Monitor the condition of material handling equipment and facility. Report any needed maintenance or repair.
Helps to manage the inventory, procurement, and helping with the receiving of all in bound shipments.
Helps to set routes for delivery daily.
Actively participates in the following:
Order Selection
Produce repacking
Assists and fills in for Quality Control
Warehouse clean up and general maintenance
Shipping (load and dispatch delivery drivers)
Assist 3rd Shift Manager and fill in when absent
Other duties as assigned
Experience Required:
2 years minimum supervisory and produce experience
General Activities:
The 3rd Shift Assistant Manager must be a flexible individual. This individual must be self motivated and able to work well independently and in a team environment. It is important that this individual can make decisions based upon the best interests of the company. The 3rd Shift Assistant Manager must check with the 3rd Shift Manager before they leave each day.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:
- All job offers are contingent on passing a pre-employment drug test.
- Physical requirements to have the ability to use a handtruck and lift 50-60 lbs. Become certified to use the stand up and sit down fork lift, with in house training and certification.
