American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist with ARRT certification, active NJ license, and a minimum of 2 years of experience for a day-shift travel assignment at a hospital-based Radiation Therapy department in New Jersey.

Adult acute care patient population

Approximately 25–30 patients per machine per day
-
Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (5x8)

No weekend or on-call requirements
-
Floating within skillset is required based on department needs
-
Uses Epic and ARIA for charting; experience with both is required
-
Experience with Varian LINACs and Linear Accelerator Simulator
-
Proficiency in patient imaging including MV, KV, and CBCT
-
Familiarity with AlignRT surface guidance system
-
Active NJ or Compact State license required; license required if applicable

ARRT (R) certification required

Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum of 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience preferred
-
Proficiency with Varian LINACs and related equipment
-
Experience with MV, KV, and CBCT patient imaging

Strong time management and attention to detail skills
-
Two current professional references required for consideration

SSN and DOB required for consideration
-
Safely and accurately administer radiation therapy in accordance with regulatory guidelines
-
Schedule patients to facilitate timely and efficient flow through the department
-
Participate in daily chart rounds
-
Provide professional and compassionate care to patients with terminal illness
-
Candidate flexibility toward departmental needs is expected
-
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

RTO requests made after an offer will not be accommodated; candidates should not request schedule changes once onsite

Availability to work 2 of 3 holidays during the contract is expected

Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment

Candidates who fail competency exams must wait 6 months before reapplying
