Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Canvass Supervisor to lead dynamic outreach efforts within our community. In this role, you will oversee a team of canvassers conducting face-to-face engagement, door-to-door outreach, and community-based activities to promote our mission and initiatives. Your leadership will drive successful community engagement, ensure effective communication, and foster positive relationships with residents. Duties
- Supervise and motivate a team of canvassers to achieve outreach goals through door-to-door and face-to-face engagement.
- Coordinate daily schedules, assign territories, and monitor team performance in real-time.
- Provide training on canvassing techniques, community engagement strategies, and effective communication skills.
- Ensure team adherence to safety protocols during outdoor work and outdoor event activities.
- Support team members with customer service inquiries, negotiation efforts, and conversational engagement with community members.
- Utilize mobile devices to track outreach progress, document interactions, and report on field activities.
- Foster positive relationships within the community by representing the organization professionally and respectfully at all times.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Strong background in marketing, field sales, or fundraising campaigns involving outdoor work.
- Excellent face-to-face communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
- Experience with door-to-door canvassing or telemarketing is highly desirable.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for engaging with multilingual communities.
- Comfortable walking for extended periods during outdoor outreach activities.
- Skilled in negotiation, conversational engagement, and building rapport quickly.
- Familiarity with using mobile devices for data collection and reporting purposes.
- Community engagement experience that demonstrates a passion for connecting with people face-to-face.
