Direct Supervisor: Principal
Open Positions:
1- Middle Math Teacher (5th-8th Grade)
1- Middle School Science & Social Studies Teacher
Schedule: Teach Monday-Thursday, off every other Friday. Every other Friday is a 6 hour admin day with no students.
Dates of Employment: September 1 , 2026- June 11, 2027 (paid training August 20-26, 2026)
Responsibilities:
Middle School Teachers facilitate instruction/activities in the classroom for 5-10 students at a time. Duties include, but not limited to:
- Math teacher instructs 4- 1 hour math classes: 5th Grade class, 6th grade class, 7th grade class, and pre-algebra- 8th grade.
- Follow lesson plans and implement curriculum in classroom setting, using resources and materials to effectively teach lessons and concepts.
- Maintan a positive classroom environment.
- Grade and record assignments in Thinkwave System.
- Complete quarterly report cards for students.
- Develop strategies and activities to keep students excited about learning and engaged throughout the day.
- Set up classroom to create a positive learning environment.
- Participate in other program activities, such as weekly staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, field trips, etc.
- Maintain a positive relationship with parents and families via regular communication.
Candidate Qualities:
As the educational ministry of Rainbow Family Christian Center, Rainbow Family Christian Academy (RFCA) seeks staff whose personal beliefs are in agreement with the RFCA Beliefs (as outlined on the RFCA website) and maintain a lifestyle consistent with the RFCA Standard of Conduct, with a compatible commitment and evidence of interest in walking out their Christian faith. Moreover, candidates must be professional, reliable, patient, and nurturing. They must genuinely enjoy working with children and communicate well with families and coworkers. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must have the ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis. Must be able to successfully complete a background investigation. Perform all other related work delegated or required to accomplish the objectives of the total school program. Teachers in our Hybrid Homeschool must have a Bachelor's Degree in education, child development, or related field. Classroom experience is required.
