A Cut Above Tree & Landscape is now hiring a full-timeTree Climber/ Experienced Tree Worker to join our local tree crew. Must have reliable transportation to our lot in Oviedo, FL. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Pay is based off experience.
Tree Crew Core Responsibilities:
- Perform professional tree maintenance activities as directed by the Crew Leader by safely performing duties
- Team up with the tree crew on specialized tree removals, tree trimming, and commercial pruning operations.
- Prunes, trims, and shapes trees using ANZI standards and Arborist Code of Ethics.
- Climbs trees, using climbing hooks and belts, or climb ladders to gain access towork areas, executing safe climbing techniques
- Execute ground safety protocols: collecting heavy brush debris, logging, and thorough clean-up from tree trimming and removal operations.
- Safely operate heavy chipping equipment, wood chippers, and brush cutters.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience working with a professional tree crew or tree service company is required!
- Proven experience handling tree service equipment, chainsaws, and wood chippers.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy manual labor, lifting, and outdoor ground work in various Florida weather conditions.
- Self-motivated go-getter and a punctual pro who shows up to the lot on time and gets things done.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality safety standards.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of an active tree removal team.
- A valid driver's license may be required for operating company tree trucks and vehicles.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
