Job Summary

Duties
- Operate tractor-trailer trucks equipped with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers to transport freight across over-the-road (OTR) routes
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to reach delivery destinations promptly and accurately
- Load and unload cargo safely, including logistics cargo handling and securing hazardous or dangerous goods in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and hazardous materials regulations
- Ensure all deliveries are completed in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of delivery logs, hours of service, and vehicle inspections in line with FMCSA requirements
- Perform routine vehicle inspections, basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or unforeseen delays
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including tractor-trailer operation and route driving
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed loads, tanker operations, and hazardous materials handling
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and hazardous materials regulations
- Skilled in GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and execution
- Ability to manually handle freight cargo safely during loading and unloading processes
- Experience with delivery driving, truck loading/unloading, and managing logistics cargo handling procedures
- Competence in operating trucks with manual transmissions and understanding of DOT (Department of Transportation) safety standards
