The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) is seeking a Research Data Analyst II in the Member Account Management Division’s Data Solutions & Reporting Unit. This position independently performs complex research, data collection, report design, methodology development, and data analysis in support of the Customer Services & Support Branch. The incumbent will retrieve, organize, validate, and analyze data to identify trends, evaluate performance, support operational decision-making, and develop resources used by division and branch leadership.
The Research Data Analyst II will prepare dashboards, statistical reports, charts, tables, visual aids, and written analyses that translate complex information into clear findings and recommendations. The position also supports branch-wide and enterprise-level projects, including performance metrics reporting, the Cost Effectiveness Measurement benchmarking survey, Full Voice of the Customer satisfaction survey efforts, and other ad-hoc research and reporting needs.

Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

Effective July 1, 2025, The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). PLP 2025 directs that each employee shall receive a 3 percent reduction in pay in exchange for 5 hours PLP 2025 leave credits, monthly. The salary range(s) included in the job advertisement do not reflect the 3 percent reduction in pay.
