Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated support Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a SEL environment. This position will be working with children in our third grade class. As a member of our teaching team, you will foster a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity, growth, and a love for exploring the world around them working with the Lead and Associate teachers This role offers an exciting opportunity to allow children to guide their curriculum in a afterschool environment. This position is up to 30 hours a week, with planning and prep time included.
Duties
- Develop and implement innovative, developmentally appropriate curricula tailored to diverse student needs, including social and emotional learning.
- Lead classroom activities that promote leadership and conflict resolution, physical education, and social-emotional learning through engaging lesson plans and interactive teaching methods.
- Work with staff to manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies while ensuring compliance with policies related to working with children with unique and diverse needs.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities focused on early intervention techniques, library services integration, or education administration.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children across various age groups in classroom settings; prior private school experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with learning technology platforms and tools used for instructional purposes.
- Strong communication skills who thrives working with a team, and enjoys working with children in a postive enviorment, that puts an emphisis on social and emotional learning.
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
