We are on the lookout for a friendly and organized Closing Host to join our hospitality team. Your main focus will be managing reservations, guest relations, and closing procedures to keep our operations running smoothly at the end of each day. Duties
- Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional guest services, including handling phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette.
- Assist in coordinating guest seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
- Support the team during closing hours by completing end-of-day reports, balancing POS transactions, and ensuring all reservations are accounted for.
- Maintain clear communication with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth transitions between shifts and accurate guest information.
- Uphold food safety standards and cleanliness protocols during closing procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
- Use organizational skills to prepare the dining area for the next day, including tidying up and restocking supplies as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with excellent phone etiquette.
- Basic math skills for balancing registers and processing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food service operations, guest relations, and hospitality standards.
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, along with general restaurant table management systems.
