Job Title: Dragon Activities Board Lead, F26
Reports to: Beth Chaney-Torni, Director of Student Engagement
Essential Functions
The Dragon Activities Board (DAB) consists of a group of students who are tasked with facilitating several Student Engagement events and activities for the fall and spring semesters. DAB members are expected to help organize, advertise, and lead campus-wide events, including, but not limited to, the Halloween Pageant, BINGO Nights, monthly Trivia Nights, Craft-ernoons (DIY craft activities), Open Mic Night, and Monthly Movie Nights.
Large-Scale Events Lead
- Oversees planning for semesterly events:
- Halloween Carnival
- DigiProm
- BINGO Nights
- Welcome / Wellness Week
Small-Scale Events Lead
- Oversees planning for monthly / less frequent events:
- Trivia
- Monthly Movie Night
- Karaoke
Marketing & Communications Lead
- Oversees marketing for events
- Poster making
- Sharing information on Teams/CampusGroups
All responsibilities (rotate)
- Organize weekly meeting notes & run meetings
- Organize events – high level, delegate responsibilities
- Pick activities
- Develop lists of order-able items
- Add events to CampusGroups
- Hold DAB members accountable for completing tasks
- Oversee DAB Budget
- Work with beth to make sure purchases are made in a timely manner
Timeline:
- Interview with Beth in Fall semester
- Hold position for a full calendar year, starting in Spring semester
Requirements:
- Good academic standing
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and facilitate events
- 1+ semesters in DAB
- Can be reconsidered if other qualities are adequate
Expected dates of employment: August 24 – December 24, 2026
Expected number of hours per week: 6
Wage Range:
$17.13 - 18.25 per hour, depending on number of terms worked at DigiPen

Working Conditions:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching; and fine finger dexterity. May need to lift up to 25 lbs. Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing.
DigiPen Student Employee Academic Requirements:
- Are currently a Matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology
- Good Academic Standing – not on Academic Warning as defined in DigiPen Course Catalog
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
Requirement Exceptions:
It is possible to still be selected for a position with DigiPen if you do not meet the requirements above, so don't let that dissuade you from applying!
Once you have applied for – and the supervisor decides to offer you – a position, we will contact the necessary managers (Supervisor, Department Chair, and/or the Dean of Faculty) to complete and sign off on an Academic Waiver form, depending on which requirements need to be waived.
