Customer-focused Barista / Market Associate with 3 years of coffee shop and retail customer service experience. Skilled in preparing high-quality beverages, operating point-of-sale systems, and creating a welcoming guest experience. Adept at multitasking in fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy, cleanliness, and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Barista Duties:
- Prepared and served coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and specialty beverages to company standards
- Operated espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment
- Maintained cleanliness and organization of café and workstations
- Ensured consistency in drink quality and presentation
Market / Retail Duties:
- Assisted guests with purchases, recommendations, and product inquiries
- Stocked shelves, coolers, and displays with food and retail items
- Operated POS system and handled cash/card transactions accurately
- Monitored inventory levels and communicated restocking needs
Customer Service:
- Delivered friendly, attentive service to enhance guest satisfaction
- Resolved customer concerns efficiently and professionally
- Built rapport with guests to encourage repeat business
Operational Support:
- Followed food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines
- Completed opening and closing procedures
- Collaborated with team members to maintain smooth daily operations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3 years of coffee shop and retail customer service experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume environments
- Cash handling and basic math proficiency
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Pay: $15.00 per hour
