What You'll Be Doing
You will serve as a key contributor in both the pre-construction and project execution phases. Specifically, you will:
- Prepare accurate estimates — Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents to develop competitive proposals.
- Complete takeoffs & pricing — Quantify labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and project costs using estimating software.
- Manage the bidding process — Submit proposals on time, follow up with clients, and help secure awarded work.
- Support project execution — Assist with project setup, scheduling, coordination, billing, and change orders.
- Collaborate with internal teams — Work closely with operations, field staff, vendors, subcontractors, and leadership to ensure project success.
- Drive profitability — Monitor project costs, budgets, billing, and overall financial performance.
Who We're Looking For
We want someone who brings the following:
- Commercial landscape construction experience — Minimum 2-5 years in estimating, project management, construction, or related green-industry experience.
- Estimating expertise — Ability to read plans, perform quantity takeoffs, develop pricing, and prepare competitive proposals.
- Strong communication skills — Comfortable working with clients, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Organizational excellence — Able to manage multiple bids and projects while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving mindset — Ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and keep projects moving forward.
- Valid driver's license — Required for occasional site visits and project meetings.
