Position Summary
This is an advanced warehouse operations role with significant responsibility for quality control, product inspections, returns processing, and operational execution. The position plays a key role in ensuring products meet Teeter's quality standards before reaching customers, maintaining warehouse excellence, and supporting cross-functional communication between departments.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining accurate documentation and driving accountability.
Quality Control & Product Inspections
- Experience performing product inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, scales, force gauges, angle gauges, and other quality verification equipment.
- Ability to accurately compare product specifications against engineering drawings, quality standards, and approved samples.
- Conduct quality inspections of inbound container shipments from overseas suppliers.
- Verify products meet Teeter's quality, packaging, labeling, and performance standards.
- Identify, document, and communicate product defects, quality concerns, and trends.
- Maintain detailed inspection records, reports, and corrective action documentation.
- Coordinate with Operations, Product Development, Customer Service, Engineering, and Management to resolve quality issues.
- Monitor rework activities and verify corrective actions are properly implemented.
- Help maintain and improve quality control procedures and standards.
Warehouse Operations
- Ensure customer orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
- Execute daily warehouse operations to maintain exceptional service levels and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused warehouse environment.
- Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and stock accuracy.
- Identify operational issues and recommend process improvements.
Returns Processing & Product Rework
- Receive and inspect returned products.
- Evaluate products and determine appropriate disposition, including refurbishment, rework, or disposal.
- Ensure returned products are accurately processed and documented.
- Track recurring product issues and communicate findings to appropriate departments.
- Maintain organized records related to returns, warranty products, and corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Forklift certification required. Experience with forklift clamps a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- Comfortable identifying issues, investigating root causes, and driving resolution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business software systems.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and confidence assembling, disassembling, and evaluating products to identify quality issues.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, quality control, manufacturing, logistics, or a related field preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull products weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequently bend, squat, kneel, reach, twist, and climb while performing warehouse duties.
- Perform repetitive lifting, packing, and material handling tasks safely and efficiently.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and environments as required.
