CDE Lightband, the municipal power provider for the City of Clarksville, offers electric, television, Internet, and phone service to customers within the city limits. CDE Lightband serves over 86,000 metered homes and businesses with electric service and over 33,000 customers with broadband services over our Fiber to the Premise Network.
The Materials Management Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the continuous reliability of CDE Lightband's electric and broadband services. This position is responsible for the accurate receipt, tracking, distribution, and inventory management of critical infrastructure materials. Additionally, the incumbent will oversee routine facility maintenance to ensure a safe, efficient, and clean warehouse environment. This role requires an energetic, detail-oriented professional dedicated to providing exceptional internal and external customer experiences.

Job Summary
Incumbents receive, distribute, and track materials into and out of a warehouse. Responsibilities may include entering materials into a database, placing materials in the warehouse, distributing materials as requested, completing physical inventories, transporting materials, and maintaining records of materials and activities.

Receives, unloads, tracks, and organizes shipments; operates various equipment to assist with tasks; while picking up, sorts, stocks, and distributes

Tracks and updates operational records, including inventory, delivery status, and storage records; prepares a variety of order forms and basic operational reports

Inspects inventory for quantity counts and

Performs and assists with projects as needed per request or the needs of the Purchasing Manager, Warehouse, or Safety

Performs other duties as assigned of a similar nature, or to provide assistance as needed
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
Experience:
Two years of related experience with experience in electrician or plumbing, preferred but not required
Certifications &
Licenses:
Driver's License & DOT Operator Qualifications
Forklift Certification or ability to obtain upon hire, CPR/AED or ability to obtain upon hire
