Machinist – Star Machine (2nd Shift)

Shift & Training
- Training: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) for several weeks
- Assigned Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
What You’ll Do
- Set up, adjust, and operate Star machines to produce high‑quality components
- Use precision measuring tools and SPC methods to ensure consistent part quality
- Troubleshoot and make machine adjustments to maintain production standards
- Perform routine machine maintenance and basic tool sharpening
- Participate in team‑based problem solving and continuous improvement efforts
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and production‑ready
- Accurately weigh, label, and document completed parts
- Support additional machining or production tasks as needed
What You Bring
Required
- High school diploma and machining experience OR a Machinist Certificate demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and use precision measuring instruments and gauges
- Your own basic tools for daily machining tasks
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs. (assistance provided for heavier items)
Preferred
- CNC lathe metal‑turning experience
- Experience working with stainless steel or brass bar stock
